Devon and David had a perfect fall day for their wedding reception at Eagle Oaks Golf Club in Farmingdale. The couple selected Ryan Adams’ “When Stars Go Blue” for their first dance as man and wife. We learned it specially for Devon and David and our guitarist Mike took the lead vocal on it. Devon then danced with her father to our version of Rascal Flatts’ “My Wish” and David and his mom had their turn on Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up” (again sung by Mikey).

Early on, our singer Tommie’s version of the Manhattans’ “You Are My Shining Star” and Rhonda’s take on the classic “It Had To Be You” eased the guests onto the dance floor. Mikey got the country fans (and others) in the house up and dancing and the pace picked up for Ray LaMontagne’s “Trouble”.

David’s parents first dance when they got married was the Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody” and Tommie reprised it for them this evening. We also did the same for Devon’s parents, whose special song was REO Speedwagon’s “Can’t Fight This Feeling”.
Towards the end, “Love Shack” (a special request from Devon & Dave), “Love Train” and “You Shook Me All Night Long” really got the audience jamming. Devon requested we end the evening with “New York, New York” and the guests were singing along and dancing.
